Passport to Paris time, baby!
So we start off by meeting Melanie (Mary-Kate Olsen) and Allyson Porter (Ashley Olsen). Melanie and Allyson’s parents have them go to them to Paris, France. Melanie and Allyson’s grandpa (Edward (Peter White)) is the American Ambassador to France.
Edward makes the girls be with not-Zazu Jeremy Bluff (Matt Winston), and…
Sidebar/Salad Bar: I did appreciate that they gave Jeremy character development instead of making him a straight-up villain.
Anyway, Melanie and Allyson clash with Edward because Edward dislikes their music and he has a dress code for dinner (poor girls).
We then meet Brigitte (Yvonne Sciò). We also meet Jean (Brocker Way) and Michel (Ethan Peck). Jean and Michel have a thing for the Olsen twins; but, the four get into trouble for trespassing. Edward turns into a stereotypical teenage girl dad.
Melanie and Allyson convince Monsieur De Beauvoir (the French Foreign Minister) of a clean drinking water proposal. Edward softens, and…
Dance time!
We end with Edward deciding to take a vacation in the United States.
Picture a Hallmark Channel Paris movie that has the Olsen twins as the leads and you have this movie. The teen characters can be grating. The special effects look like 1999 special effects that were created for a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie. There are a few funny moments.
