Double, Double, Toil and Trouble time, baby!

So we start off by meeting Kelly Farmer (Mary-Kate Olsen) and Lynn Farmer (Ashley Olsen). Their folks (Don (Eric “Sam Field in Borrowed Hearts” McCormack) and Christine (Kelli Fox) are having financial problems. Out of desperation, they go to Christine’s Aunt Agatha (Cloris Leachman) and she responds in turn. Kelly and Lynn encounter a grave digger (Wayne Robson) (as you do) and the grave digger informs the girls of Sophia (Leachman). We learn about a moonstone. Young Sophia and Agatha (apparently) did not want to be twins anymore; but, Agatha used the moonstone for evil purposes. Sophia and George (Matthew Walker) were going to run off and get married; but, Agatha trapped Sophia in the mirror (hate it when that happens) and Sophia is in danger of not being rescued.

Kelly and Lynn think that Sophia will help their family; so, Kelly and Lynn decide to get the moonstone. Kelly and Lynn perform a trick-or-treating switcheroo. Mr. N (Meshach Taylor) provides assistance to Kelly and Lynn. Kelly and Lynn stumble upon a magical wand. The wand helps them track Agatha. We then meet Oscar (Phil Fondacaro) and he provides assistance to the girls. Don and Christine go to the cops.

Agatha works on Mission Getting Rid of Kelly and Lynn. Mr. N and Oscar get the moonstone by claiming that they can increase Agatha’s power, and…

No jokes, please.

Anyway, Agatha finds out that the truth. Lynn goes with Oscar and Kelly goes with Mr. N. 

Agatha, Kelly and Mr. N wind up at a warehouse and Agatha turns Mr. N into a crow. Agatha disguises herself as Sophia to trick Kelly. Mr. N finds Lynn and Oscar and he gives them a Previously on Double, Double, Toil and Trouble recap. He also screwed up one of Agatha’s tires, and…

Seems like a rather pedestrian way for a witch to travel. 

Anyway, Lynn figures out how to get to Agatha’s house and Christine figures out that Lynn and Kelly are going to Agatha’s house. Lynn strikes up a deal with Agatha that Agatha will get the moonstone if she lets the group go; but, Agatha does not hold up her end of the bargain. Mr. N gets the moonstone and Kelly and Lynn work on Mission Free Sophia. Agatha turns Oscar and the grave digger into turtles (hate it when that happens). 

We then get the “Too late” cliché. Kelly and Lynn save the day by the power of Frozen before Frozen. We then get the Freaky cliché of “Five minutes fast.” Agatha winds up in the mirror.

Don and Christine arrive. We get Wizard of Oz ending redux. George still has the hots for Sophia and the financial problems are solved.

Agatha asks the twins for assistance and Mary-Kate and Ashley are all “I hope you rot in that mirror.”

Sidebar/Salad Bar: In her spare time, Agatha is a villain on WandaVision (the Olsens must have a weird thing going with witchy Agathas).

I am not the right age demographic for this movie. It is a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Halloween movie and you get what it says on the tin. That being said, this could’ve been a lot worse.
