Pixel Perfect (2004) Movie Review

Does Pixel Perfect hold up?

Let’s find out:

So we start off by meeting Samantha (Leah Pipes). Sam’s band the Zetta Bytes needs a dancer; so, Roscoe (Raviv Ullman) creates a hologram dancer (Loretta (Spencer Redford)).

Loretta is not a hit with Sam because she has feelings for Roscoe. People find out that Loretta is a hologram and this actually improves the band’s reputation; however, Loretta wants to be a real girl.

Sam kisses Roscoe. Roscoe is not into it at first; but, he realizes that he may be into it. Roscoe then goes to a meeting with Harshtone Records. Harshtone Records wants more holograms; however, they see them as just holograms. Roscoe sees them as more than holograms, and…

You’re going deep on me, Disney Channel. You’re going deep.

Anyway, Harshtone Records disregards Roscoe’s words, and…

Do… do you think that Roscoe was too harsh with his tone?

However, Daryl Fibbs (Chris Williams) helps Loretta escape into the internet. Sam tries to take Loretta’s place at the next Zetta Bytes concert; however, she winds up in a coma. Loretta enters Sam’s body (that came out wrong). Loretta feels rain for the first time and she winds up dying.

Roscoe and Sam get together and Loretta haunts the Zetta Bytes.

Disney Channel movies drag when you get older and they become cheesier as you get older and Pixel Perfect is no exception to that rule. However, there is a nostalgia factor, the music is catchy and Pixel Perfect is deeper than your average Disney Channel Original Movie.
