Motocrossed (2001) Movie Review

Does Motocrossed hold up?

Let’s find out:

So we start off by meeting motocross driver Andrew Carson (Trever O’Brien). Andrew’s sister (Andrea “Andy” Carson (Alana Austin)) likes motocross; however, Edward Carson (Andrew and Andrea’s dad) (Timothy Carhart) disapproves.

Andrew and Andrea race. Andrew gets (conveniently) injured; so, Edward is stuck finding another motocross rider. Andrea wants to pose as her brother and Geneva Carson (Andrew and Andrea’s mom) (Mary-Margaret Humes) eventually agrees.

Andrea struggles with racing; but, Dean Talon (Riley Smith) notices that Andrea is good with the ladies. Dean offers to help Andrea with motocross racing if she helps him with Faryn Henderson (Katherine Ellis). Andrea starts to fall for Dean; however, it is disapproving dad time.

Motocross driver René Cartier (Michael Cunio) enters the picture. René gets flirty with Andrea and Andrew and Jason Carson (Scott Terra) (Andrea’s other brother) (Jason is your typical Disney Channel little brother) hate René. René also has a bit of a reputation.

Edward (finally) has enough of René when he sees René mistreat Andrea. Edward (finally) supports Andrea racing, and…

How movie dad of him.

Anyway, Andrea wins the race; however, René reveals her secret. Art Henderson Racing is upset about this; but, Geneva argues for technicalities. However, Barbara Rollins (Aloma Wright)/the CEO confirms Andrea’s win/ensures the Carson family’s future.

Time passes. Dean comes by and says that he wants to join the Carson family (not in THAT way). Dean and Andrea race and they (implied) get together.

Motocrossed is still a nostalgic ride to me.
