Does Anastasia still hold up?

Let’s find out:

 So we start off by meeting Anastasia (voiced by Kirsten Dunst). Anastasia’s grandmother/the Dowager Empress (voiced by Angela Lansbury) gives Anastasia a music box. However, Rasputin (voiced by Christopher Lloyd) shows up and he puts a curse on the Romanovs and Anastasia and the Dowager Empress are separated.

We then get A Rumor in St. Petersburg/The High School Cafeteria Rumor song. We then meet Dimitri (voiced by John Cusack), and…

Dimitri is one of the more developed Disney prince-type characters. We also meet Vlad (voiced by Kelsey Grammer).

Dimitri and Vlad are trying to scam the Dowager Empress by passing someone off as Anastasia so that they can get money.

We are then reunited with Anastasia (now voiced by Meg Ryan) and we get Journey to the Past. 

Anastasia goes to St Petersburg and she searches a castle for Dimitri. We then get Once Upon a December. Dimitri notices that Anastasia looks like Anastasia; so, Dimitri involves Anastasia in his scheme. 

We then get In the Dark of the Night.

Anastasia, Dimitri and Co. then board a train and it looks like Rasputin is planning some Murder on the Orient Express; however, Anastasia and Co. are able to get out of that mess.

We then get Learn To Do It. 

Anastasia then has a dream about her family swimming; however, it is Rasputin manipulating her so that she will die. Anastasia’s family turns into demons, and…

This nightmare sequence is terrifying. Can you imagine dreaming about your family and then having them turn into demons?

Anyway, Anastasia, Dimitri and Vlad meet Sophie (voiced by Bernadette Peters). But, Marie is weary about seeing more Anastasias. Dimitri tries to convince Marie to see Anastasia; but, she refuses. Dimitri convinces Marie to see Anastasia. 

Anastasia then runs into Rasputin; however, she (Anastasia) is able to defeat him and Anastasia and Dimitri wind up together.

Anastasia still holds up.
