Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) Movie Review

Does Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 hold up?

Let’s find out:

So we start off with Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) trying to get into Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter)’s vault at a bank. Griphook helps them, the trio finds Helga Hufflepuff’s cup and Griphook betrays them; however, Harry, Ron and Hermione are able to get out of the mess. Voldy is upset over the missing cup.

Harry finds out that there is a Horcrux at Hogwarts; so, Aberforth Dumbledore (Ciarán Hinds) and Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis) help the trio sneak into Hogwarts.

Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) starts an anti-Harry movement. Harry talks to Helena Ravenclaw’s ghost. Harry finds out that the Room of Requirement has a diadem in it. Hermione and Ron get rid of a Horcrux cup. Harry, Ron and Hermione wind up rescuing Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), and…

Miracles do happen.

Anyway, we find out that Nagini is the Last of the Horcruxes, and…

Sounds like a movie.

Nagini winds up going after and offing Snape. Fred Weasley (James Phelps), Remus Lupin (David Thewlis) and Nymphadora Tonks are offed.

We then get the Snape-Lily Potter arc, and…

Wonderfully acted by Alan Rickman, the Snape- Lily arc is one of my favorite moments of the Harry Potter series. Voldy attacks Harry, Harry winds up in an almost-to-Heaven place and Harry decides to keep living.

Voldy thinks that he won; but, Harry and Voldy do battle and Voldy is offed. Bellatrix and Nagini are also offed.

We end with the next generation.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is still a good movie.
