Does Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban hold up?

Let’s find out:

So we start off by reuniting with Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe). Harry breaks Hogwarts rules, he uses magic on Marge Dursley and he leaves.

We then reunite with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). Harry finds out that Voldemort devotee Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has staged a prison break from Azkaban Prison and that Sirius is after him (Harry). Harry then finds out that Dementors are keeping an eye out for Sirius.

Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) is teaching Care of Magical Creatures. Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) ticks off Buckbeak (a hippogriff), and…

I’m sure that every teacher has had a Draco Malfoy in their class.

Anyway, Lucius Malfoy wants the death of Buckbeak, and…

I’m sure that every teacher has also had to deal with a Lucius Malfoy/annoying parent type.

Anyway, we find out from a portrait that Sirius is getting closer. 

Harry finds out that Sirius is his godfather; but, Harry also finds out that Sirius killed Peter Pettigrew (Timothy Spall). 

Harry then meets Sirius Black. It turns out that Lupin (David Thewlis) and Black are close. It also turns out that Lupin can turn into a werewolf and that Black can turn into a dog. It also turns out that Peter Pettigrew is alive and that he has been masquerading as Ron’s rat Scabbers. It also turns out that Peter Pettigrew threw Black under the bus. The unaware Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) tries to stop Black; but, Harry stops him. We then get a dog versus werewolf fight. Dementors go after Black, Harry winds up in the infirmary and he (Harry) reunites with Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) and Hermione.

Trying to stop Black from being punished, Harry and Hermione use a Time-Turner. Hermione was using the Time-Turner to take more classes, and…

Anyone who has had to create a college schedule for a semester can probably relate to this.

Anyway, Harry and Hermione are able to save Buckbeak AND Black. Black gives Harry a broomstick.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is still a good family movie.
