Anyway, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton (Grant Bowler) look back on their lives.

Richard goes to Rome, Italy to be Mark Antony in Cleopatra and he makes a bad first impression on Elizabeth. Sybil (Tanya Franks), Richard’s wife, thinks that Richard has feelings for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth has a drink with Richard and they start an affair. Elizabeth leaves her husband Eddie Fisher (Andy Hirsch) for Richard. Richard loves her; but, he goes back to Sybil after Sybil tries to kill herself. Elizabeth has a pill overdose and they finish filming Cleopatra.

Richard and Elizabeth then film The V.I.P.s and they get married.

Richard and Elizabeth then film Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Richard was hoping to win an Oscar for The Spy Who Came In from the Cold; however, it did not pan out. Elizabeth gets an Oscar for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.

Richard gets Elizabeth a ring; however, he cheats on her and they divorce.

Elizabeth then thinks that she has colon cancer; however, it turns out to be a false alarm. Richard and Elizabeth get married again; however, they divorce again.

Anyway, Richard dies. Elizabeth visits his grave and the paparazzi pounces.

The casting of Lindsay Lohan is super distracting. You don’t see Elizabeth Taylor; you see Lindsay Lohan. They try to make Lindsay Lohan look like Elizabeth Taylor; but, it just does not work. Lindsay Lohan tries to alter her voice from time to time; but, for the most part? She just sounds like Lindsay Lohan.

As for the movie? It is a tabloid movie. It is campy. Some of the dialogue feels really on-the-nose.
