I liked Get a Clue when I was younger; but, is it any good?

Let’s find out:

We start off by meeting Lexy Gold (Lindsay Lohan). Lexy and her editor Jack Downey (Bug Hall) work for the school newspaper. Mr. Walker (Ian Gomez), Lexy’s teacher, goes missing and Lexy, Jack, Jen (Brenda Song) and Gabe (Al Mukadam) decide to solve the case.

The group finds out that Gertrude Dawson (Amanda Plummer) and Mr. Walker are a couple. Lexy, Jack, Jen and Gabe find out that Mr. Walker is accused of stealing money and they meet Detective Charles Meany (really?) (Charles Shaughnessy).

The man who actually took the money takes Gertrude Dawson captive. Detective Evil Meany/Detective The Guy From The Nanny turns out to be Falco Grandville and, yes, he took the money.

Mr. Walker and Gertrude Dawson get married and we get a ship tease for Lexy and Jack.

Lohan has her charms and the title song rocks; however, Get a Clue is your average Disney Channel Original Movie. Plus, Disney trying to make the “murder” mystery kid-friendly accidentally results in some unintentional dark comedy moments.
